Subject of Astana Economical Forum is updated every year and covers wide range of issues and tasks of global development. Agenda of the AEF includes discussion of key issues of the world economy, development of new industries and technologies, as well as global challenges Kazakhstan and other countries facing across the world. In the lead-up to the XII forum abovementionedtopics and other tasks were discussed at the Central Communications Service site with participation of Managing Director of Astana EXPO-2017 JSC Ruslan Zhemkov, Chairman of the Board of Economic Research Institute JSC Yerlik Karagan, and Director of the Center for Analysis and World Economy of the JSC "Institute for Economic Research" Aybol Argyngazinov.
During press conference Ruslan Zhemkov highlighted the importance of such an event as the AEF for our country and for entire international community.
“Success of each economy is determined by the availability of qualified human capital, advanced technologies and effective communication in the international arena. Following these intentions Astana Economic Forum has been held for the 12th time to share experience and develop partnership,” stated managing director of Astana EXPO-2017 JSC.
Global leaders and leading international experts during these two days will gather in the capital of Kazakhstan to discuss the most important issues of the world economy and develop recommendations to solve them for our country. More than four thousand people will take part in the AEF-2019 including foreign delegates from over 60 countries of the world.
Astana Economic Forum established by the initiative of Elbasy Nursultan Nazarbayev is always held with his participation. AEF-2019 is not going to be an exception. First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan will take part in the plenary session of the forum.
Round-table with the participation of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kasym-Zhomart Tokayev will also be one of the key events at the AEF. Panel with the President will be held along with Stanley Fischer, German Gref, Hans-Paul Byrkner, Armida Salsiya Alishahbana, Kenneth Rogoff, Maurice Obstfeld and others. Participants will discuss current issues and global economic development trends put on the AEF agenda.
“164 speakers are planned to participate. Number of sessions is updated daily and new ones are added. As part of “The Year of Youth”, we on-behalf of the organizing committee added a youth-led format so that students and young people could visit special panels with the participation of our most honored guests. Several Nobel laureates have already confirmed their participation”stated R. Zhemkov
Forum schedule consistsof 55 sessions. Additional several new formats that have not been conducted yet in Kazakhstan planned to take place at AEF-2019. Round-table with the participation of the International Monetary Fund for Ministers of Finance and Leaders of the Central Banks of the countries will be held for the first time. First Kazakhstan forum on the UN sustainable development goals is planned, as well as a round-table with the participation of finance ministers and heads of central banks of the countries of the Caucasus and Central Asia region, Member States of the Eurasian Economic Union and Mongolia. As well as:
● International conference in honor of the 100th anniversary of the international labor organization;
● Interim preparatory meeting for the 12th Ministerial Conference of the World Trade Organization in 2020;
● Strategic session with the participation of the world intellectual elite and the government of the Republic of Kazakhstan under led by G-Global International Secretariat;
● Session named "25 years of Eurasian integration from idea to implementation";
● Kazakhstan Global Investment Round-table;
● IMF Round-table for Ministers of Finance and Governors of Central Banks of the Countries “Economic Policy Measures for Inclusive Growth”.
