The “Digital Autumn. The Beginning” meeting in Ted Talks format organized by the Ministry for Digital Development, Innovation and Aerospace was held on October 2 at the “Astana Hub” IT Startup International Technology Park.
The event was attended by bloggers, journalists and members of the public. The Minister for MDDIA RK Askar Zhumagaliyev presented the 3 most important digital news of this fall - launch of new eGov mobile application, cancellation of address certificate and SMS service of the Ministry of Finance of the RK on notification of upcoming tax payments.
Beta versions of updated eGov mobile application will soon be available on PlayMarket and AppStore. Using this application, the public will be able to get 23 services, apply for the issue of electronic digital signature, and even extend its validity. The application provides services in almost one tap on the screen. Requests will be signed via Touch ID or Face ID. Another news from the presentation is that public services can now be received on social networks. Following high demand of the eGov-bot in Telegram, the services of which were used by more than 650 thousand Kazakhstanis, similar services were launched on Facebook and VKontakte. Now you can get the 15 most popular certificates and services right on social networks.
Yet one more news of the event - cancellation of address certificates starting from November 1, 2019. Everyone who requires the citizen’s address information will be able to get it on their own via the new service. To make this happen, the citizen will have to confirm his/her consent to issuance of address information via SMS. Moreover, in the near future, the RK citizens will receive short SMS messages on the amount of tax that they need to pay on their mobile devices (smartphones, push-button telephones). In order to receive these notifications, citizen will have to register their phone numbers in the Mobile Citizens Base via egov.kz electronic government portal or mgov mobile application. One of the best opportunities of SMS-notification is almost one hundred percent guarantee of instant delivery of messages on tax obligations to individuals.
