On December 14, a solemn ceremony of awarding the winners of the “Moscow Restoration – 2021” competition was held in Moscow.
Moscow Restoration is an annual prestigious competition of the Moscow Government aimed at developing the traditions of the Moscow school of restoration and attracting public interest to historical and cultural monuments.
This year, 66 applications for 33 objects were received for the competition. Among them, there are industrial, civil architecture, as well as historical heritage large objects.
The newly renovated “Kazakhstan” pavilion was recognized as the best object of restoration in Moscow according to citizens and gained more than 51 thousand votes.
An honorary diploma from the Mayor of Moscow Mr. Sergei Sobyanin was received by the Advisor to the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Russian Federation Mr. Nurzhan Kadzhiakbarov.
The Kazakhstan pavilion at Exhibition of Economic Achievements was opened after a large-scale restoration on November 19 of this year.
The total area of the pavilion is 4,826 sq.m. including historical part – 1,716 sq. m.; extension – 3,110 sq.m.; number of floors – 5 (including 1 basement). Moreover, renovated building has a trade and exhibition hall of 225 sq.m.; a conference hall (cinema hall) for 150 seats and a restaurant for 120 visitors.
After a large-scale restoration, the historical appearance of the 1954 pavilion was restored; the territory was enlarged by an extension of a new building; the sculptures of Akyn Zhambyl Zhabayev, and Hero of Socialist Labor Shyganak Bersiev were installed at the entrance arch of the pavilion.
In accordance with the agreement, the authorized company on the part of Kazakhstan is the Corporate Fund “Trade and Exhibition Center “Kazakhstan” with the only participant of National Company “QazExpoCongress” JSC.
Within the framework of the agreement, the pavilion is used in trade and exhibition activities, the organization of cultural events and the opening of a restaurant of national cuisine.
