December 21, as part of the action plan to combat corruption in NC “QazExpoCongress” JSC, the representatives of the Anti-Corruption Agency of Kazakhstan held a seminar for employees of the company.
During the event, representatives of the Agency informed the attendees with the norms of compliance with the Law of RK “On Anti-Corruption”, the Code of Business Ethics and anti-corruption policy.
“The anti-corruption is one of the main directions of state policy. The head of state Kassym-Jomart Tokayev spoke about this more than once in his speeches. Every year the anti-corruption efforts in Kazakhstan become more systematic. In this regard, it is important to know the legal basis for the prevention of corruption. The Compliance Service in companies contributes to the reduction of such risks,” said Asan Aidarkhanov, an expert of the Agency’s Preventive Service.
The senior officer of the Preventive Service – Zhaslan Khamitov shared the results of this year, and also informed about the rules of anti-corruption monitoring and internal analysis of corruption risks.
In turn, the First Deputy Chairman of the Board of the National Company – Daulet Yerkimbayev shared information about the company’s activities, including the plans of the Compliance Service for the coming year. He also noted that the introduction and operation of the compliance service in the company is an effective measure to prevent fraud by employees, which contributes to the elimination of corruption risks in the company.
It should be noted that the Compliance Service in the national company was established in January of this year and is responsible for compliance with the requirements of anti-corruption legislation, corporate ethics, formation of an anti-corruption culture and analysis of corruption risks.
