The summer concert season at the EXPO business complex begins on June 15 with an ethnic festival. This opening event will showcase performances by the Tarlan ethnic ensemble, a vocal and instrumental band, and various artists performing both traditional and modern pieces.
The EXPO’s summer stage will be bustling every weekend from June through September. In 2023, the stage hosted 13 open-air concerts with artists like Dastan Orazbekov, Kurmash Makhanov, Marzhan Arapbaeva, Aikyn, and DJ Imanbek. Additionally, the venue featured events such as the International Festival of Contemporary Ethnic Music “The Spirit of Astana,” the Shamshi Kaldayakov Song Festival, and a rock festival, among other cultural and entertainment activities.
Every Saturday, the summer stage will host free concerts starting at 7:00 pm. Performers will include the 101 Band, Kairat Baekenov, Marzhan Arapbaeva, Miras Zhugunusov, and others.
A rollerdrome has also opened at the EXPO complex, catering to roller skating enthusiasts. It operates Monday to Thursday from 2:00 pm to 11:00 pm, and Friday to Sunday from 10:00 am to 11:00 pm. Roller skate rentals cost 2,000 tenge, but those with their own skates can enter for free. The complex also features a park with a playground specially designed for children with special needs.
The Museum of Future Energy is open from Tuesday to Friday from 10:00 am to 8:00 pm, and on weekends from 10:00 am to 9:00 pm, with Mondays off.
This weekend, starting at 12:00 pm, the Garage Fest fair will take place at the EXPO complex. The fair will feature 50 entrepreneurs and artisans offering items such as national jewelry, decorative pieces, eco-bags, handmade candles, toys, and more.
The Garage Fest fair is a social initiative designed to support young entrepreneurs, pensioners, and people with disabilities, providing them an opportunity to earn additional income through participation.
