EXPO
2025
Osaka
Japan
13.04.2025 – 13.10.2025
Тема выставки: «Designing future society for our lives»
Sub themes: «Saving Lives», «Empowering Lives» и «Connecting Lives»
Venue – Artificial island Yumeshima (Osaka) with a total area of 155 hectares. According to the registration dossier of the Organizing Committee, the exhibition will involve 160 countries and 9 international organizations, with an estimated 28.2 million visitors.
The Pavilion of the Republic of Kazakhstan will be located in the thematic cluster “Connecting Lives,” in close proximity to countries such as South Korea, Germany, Luxembourg, Nepal, Azerbaijan, Iran, Monaco, and Turkey.
The main idea of the pavilion is to reveal the sub-theme “Connecting Lives” through the symbolism of the shanyrak, symbolizing the unity of cultures and peoples. The concept includes four key zones: “Connecting the Legacy,” “Connecting People,” “Connecting Opportunities,” and “Connecting Lives.” The pavilion’s philosophy is based on three principles: tolerance, unity, and potential.
An interactive exhibit in the form of a map of Kazakhstan using 3D mapping illustrates key milestones of the country’s history, culture, and traditions. The exhibition covers the eras of the Saka, the Golden Man, Kazakh khans, the Golden Horde, and the Silk Road, as well as the legacy of Abay Kunanbayev. Attention is also given to Kazakhstan’s achievements in world sports, including Olympic victories and famous athletes.
Зона 2 – Connecting People
This zone symbolizes the unification of people and cultures through a digital interactive installation. Visitors take photos in front of a terminal, and their images transform into particles that connect on a curved projection screen. Through the prism of the yurt and shanyrak, a video show reveals the theme of “Connecting Lives” and the slogan “Kazakhstan. Born Bold.” The content emphasizes Kazakhstan’s role as a strategic bridge between East and West, highlighting sustainable development, green technology transition, and the Concept of Energy Development.
Зона 3 – Connecting Opportunities
The zone presents Kazakhstan’s modern vision and strategic development. Interactive monitors allow visitors to select topics of interest, launching multimedia content about the country’s key sectors: the ecosystem (flora, fauna, reserves), resources (agriculture, mineral wealth), tourism (attractions), innovations (investment projects), and economy (export, import).
Зона 4 – Connecting Lives
The final section showcases the latest development by Kazakh scientists – the innovative device ALEM (Astana Life Ex-situ Machine) for long-term storage and transplantation of donor organs. Developed by the Heart Center Foundation, this technological solution opens new horizons in medicine, providing enhanced opportunities to save the lives of patients in need of organ transplants.
Additionally, as per tradition, participating countries at the EXPO hold national days. The National Day of the Republic of Kazakhstan will take place on August 10, 2025, coinciding with the 180th anniversary of Abay Kunanbayev.
The national day will feature an official flag-raising ceremony of the Republic of Kazakhstan, along with an ethnic concert and parade featuring Kazakhstani artists.
