On September 28-29, the annual International Technology Forum Digital Bridge will be held in the capital on the site of the EXPO International Exhibition Center. The theme of the forum is Central Eurasia as a new tech platform – “Central Eurasia as a new technology platform”.
The forum program will include such large-scale events as the alley of IT startups and the exhibition of technoparks of the member states of the Organization of Turkic States and Central Asian countries. This direction was determined within the framework of the decision taken during the VIII summit of the Cooperation Council of Turkic-speaking States in Turkey, where the President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev announced a proposal to organize a forum of young IT specialists of Turkic countries.
In addition, an exhibition of IT schools, an IT job fair, an Astana Hub Battle competition, VR, GameDev platforms will be organized. Also, within the framework of the forum, the country’s first official TikTok offline platform for startups will be created. Venture investors from all over the region are expected to participate. At numerous panel sessions, leading international experts will discuss topical issues of the IT world.
The International Digital Bridge Forum is one of the largest events in Kazakhstan in the field of IT, which is held annually with the participation of the Head of State. Traditionally, the forum is attended by leaders of the international IT community, Kazakhstani and foreign experts in the field of technology, professionals in the field of digital development, IT companies and startups, venture investors, technology entrepreneurs, representatives of government agencies and the media.
Recall that the forum is the implementation of the National project “Technological breakthrough through digitalization, science and innovation”, and is also aimed at achieving the indicators outlined by the Head of State for the training of at least 100 thousand qualified IT personnel by 2025, attracting investments in the IT industry up to 500 billion tenge, increasing the export of ICT services up to 500 millions of US dollars.
The organizers are the Ministry of Digital Development, Innovation and Aerospace Industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan with the participation of the Akimat of Astana and the international Technopark of IT startups Astana Hub.
