The main Christmas tree of Kazakhstan is traditionally installed on the territory of the EXPO Business District at the foot of the brightest attraction of the capital – NUR ALEM Future Energy Museum.
In order to stabilize the epidemiological situation, the ceremony of lighting the main New Year’s symbol will be held online without a concert program. The broadcast of the celebration will be available live on the Khabar TV channel at 19: 50.
The height of the Christmas tree is 25 meters. For its design, 1,200 colorful balloons, 270 snowflakes, and 1,900 meters of garlands were used.
Recall that on the territory of the EXPO Business District there is another winter attraction-an outdoor ice rink with a capacity of up to 200 people. The area of the ice cover is 1300 sq. m. The cost of renting skates for a 2-hour session is 500 tenge, and those who come with their own skates will be able to ride for free. For the convenience of visitors, there is a warm changing room and a 24-hour underground parking for 3 thousand cars. The working hours of the ice rink are from 12:00 to 23:00 daily.
