On November 22, the VIII Republican Professional Skills Championship WorldSkills Kazakhstan 2023 will start with a grand opening at the EXPO International Exhibition Center. The competition will see 545 specialists under 22 and 520 experts from across the country participating.
Government representatives, social partners, enterprise employees, educators from technical and vocational education institutions, and other interested parties will be in attendance.
From November 23 to 25, college students will showcase their skills in 30 competencies, including bricklaying, car body repair, elementary-grade teaching, IT solutions for business, hotel receptionist, cooking, hairdressing, and more.
The awards ceremony for the participants is scheduled for November 27. Winners will earn the chance to represent Kazakhstan at the international championship WorldSkills Lyon 2024, set to take place in France from September 10 to 15, 2024.
