On February 17-18, 2022 the III International Forum “Future Energy: Women, Business and Global Economy” took place at the National Pavilion of the Republic of Kazakhstan within the framework of the EXPO 2020 Dubai World Exhibition. The event was organized by the NGO “Eurasian Women’s Alliance” with the support of the National Commission on Women, Family and Demographic Policy under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan. I and II Future Energy: Women, Business and Global Economy International Forums took place at EXPO 2015 Milan and EXPO 2017 Astana correspondingly.
The Global 2030 Agenda for the Sustainable Development emphasizes the need to ensure full and effective participation of women, and their equal opportunities for leadership positions at all levels of decision-making, including the public life.
The main idea of the forum is to unite public initiatives and aspirations of women from different countries to develop international humanitarian cooperation in different spheres of economy and culture.
Speakers of the Forum include Raikhan Bakirova, Chairman of the Board of the Eurasian Women’s Alliance, Deputy Chairman of the Eurasia Women’s Forum in Moscow, Rauan Zhumabek, Consul General of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the United Arab Emirates, Lazzat Ramazanova, Chairman of the National Commission for Women and Family and Demographic Policy under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Isabella Colangelo, Director of the Italian National pavilion and others.
The Forum included two thematic sessions: “Promoting Women’s Leadership for Social Change and Improving the Quality of Life” and “Preserving Ethno-cultural Values in the Context of Modern Global Challenges: Digitalization and Virtual Universe,” which discussed the role of women in science, social change, medicine and green technologies.
