The Zhana Zhył Fest & Gastromania New Year’s fair-festival is set to kick off on December 15 at the EXPO International Exhibition Center.
Running from December 15 to 17, the New Year’s fair-festival is organized by the national company QazExpoCongress with the support of the Akimat of Astana. It will take place from 10:00 am to 8:00 pm.
The EXPO International Exhibition Center will host a vibrant cultural and entertainment program. This includes a New Year’s music set by a DJ, a barista competition, a New Year’s photo spot, a Santa Claus workshop featuring engaging master classes on crafting New Year’s toys and gifts, a chance to meet Father Frost and Snow Maiden, festive dances around the Christmas tree, surprises, and practical jokes. Attendees will also explore offerings from Kazakh food producers, sample New Year’s treats, observe the finest home decor and decoration practices, and purchase souvenirs, gifts for friends and family, as well as warm winter clothing. All these elements aim to immerse visitors in the enchanting holiday atmosphere.

The fair-festival, functioning as a social project, aims to unite and support micro, small, and medium-sized businesses, including domestic manufacturers and artisans.
Noteworthy is that the first New Year’s fair last year brought together over two hundred enterprises, including more than a hundred artisans and hand-makers, drawing approximately 26 thousand visitors. This year’s event aims to attract around 200 participants, including entrepreneurs, online stores, artisans, and others, with an anticipated attendance of 50 thousand visitors.
