Half a million people visited the National Pavilion of the Republic of Kazakhstan at the EXPO 2020 World Exhibition in Dubai on December 13. The jubilee visitor, who turned out to be a journalist of the UAE National Council on Mass Media – Mansour Lardi, was met by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the United Arab Emirates – Mr. Madiyar MENILBEKOV.
“We are immensely pleased to welcome our 500,000th visitor to the Kazakhstan pavilion! Our pavilion is very popular both among foreign visitors of the exhibition and our compatriots, and is included in the top 10 most popular pavilions of the exhibition. We are very pleased that our pavilion, and therefore our country, is of such great interest to the international audience,” – said the ambassador in his welcoming speech.
As a gift, Mansur Lardi was presented with a tourist trip to Kazakhstan for two people, which includes flight, accommodation and various excursions sponsored by the Kazakh Tourism National Company, the Air Astana, the Shymbulak mountain resort and the ML Tour operator.
The EXPO 2020 World Exhibition opened on October 1, 2021 in Dubai. During this time, the pavilion of Kazakhstan has become one of the most popular and visited. According to the Organizing Committee of EXPO 2020 Dubai, more than 5 million people have visited the exhibition since its opening. Every day the National Pavilion is visited by an average of 8 thousand people. In addition to tourist interest, it enjoys high business interest from international business circles. About 30 business events are planned at the site of the National Pavilion of the Republic of Kazakhstan where conferences, forums, B2B meetings will be held, as well as projects on the country’s investment and tourism potential, scientific and educational initiatives will be presented.
On December 1, as part of the celebration of the National Day of the Republic of Kazakhstan at the World Exhibition, a Kazakh trade and investment forum was held, which brought together representatives of government agencies, business circles, national holdings and development institutions of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the United Arab Emirates. Following the forum, strategic documents were signed between two countries.
The content of the National Pavilion fully reveals the theme of the exhibition “Uniting Minds, Creating the Future” and is a journey where visitors get acquainted with nature, history, culture, traditions, as well as promising development projects of the country. The content of the pavilion also reveals the tourism and investment potential of Kazakhstan.
The final show is especially popular among visitors. Acrobatic performance with a robotic arm symbolizes human interaction with artificial intelligence and the search for a balance between them.
Moreover, an ethnic musical band performs daily in a specially equipped open area in front of the pavilion for visitors as well as the restaurant of national cuisine located on the territory of the pavilion is in high demand.
