In Moscow, as part of the celebration of the centenary of the People’s Artist of the USSR, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan – the outstanding singer RozaBaglanova, a photo exhibition was opened. The event was attended by the Minister of Culture and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan Dauren Abayev, representatives of the creative intelligentsia and the Kazakh diaspora.
“It is gratifying that such major events in her memory are held not only in Kazakhstan but in other countries as well. Each of the photographs presented here reveals not only the incredible richness of the life of Roza Baglanova but also the ups and downs of an entire era,” Minister D. Abayev said at the opening of the exhibition at the Exhibition of Economic Achievements.
The photo exhibition presents more than 30 unique photographs reflecting various aspects of the life and work of Roza Baglanova. The exhibition consists of 7 blocks: “The First Rose”, “Feats and Glory in the War Years”, “The Dawn of a Creative Career”, “Every Song is a Masterpiece”, “The Rose that Conquered the World”, “Public and Political Activities” and “Bright Life” illumined by people’s love.
The Minister of Culture and Sports noted that the centenary of the singer was included in the calendar of memorable dates of UNESCO, and in October a big concert will be held in her honor at the headquarters of the organization in Paris. Also in November, the capital of Kazakhstan will host an international singing competition.
The Kazakhstan pavilion at Exhibition of Economic Achievements (VDNH) opened at the end of 2021 after a large-scale restoration, during which the historical appearance of the mid-twentieth century was returned to it. In December, it became a laureate of the Moscow Restoration – 2021 competition of the Government of Moscow, and in July it was awarded the VDNH Gold Sign for its contribution to restoration and active integration into the event agenda, in August it became the winner of the Best Implemented Construction Project competition in the nomination of “Restoration and adaptation of a cultural heritage object for modern use”.
