The beginning of the working week of the National Pavilion of the Republic of Kazakhstan at the World Exhibition EXPO 2020 Dubai was opened by business meetings of the management of Kazstandart RSE with international colleagues in the field of standardization and metrology.
Thus, the Kazakh pavilion hosted meetings of the KAZSTANDART management with representatives of the Emirates International Accreditation Center (EIAC) and the Mongolian Agency for Standardization and Metrology (MASM).
During the business meetings, the parties discussed the quality infrastructure of agricultural products in Kazakhstan, the development of the halal industry, and the main outcomes of the meetings were the signing of an agreement on accreditation of the Kazakh halal conformity assessment body, as well as an agreement on the dissemination of national standards in the field of meat and meat products exports.
In addition, on October 5, KazStandart met with representatives of the Organization for Standardization of the Cooperation Council of the Arab States of the Persian Gulf, headed by the President, Mr. Saud Al-Husaibi.
During the meeting, the parties discussed the quality infrastructure of agricultural products in Kazakhstan and in the Persian Gulf countries, but the main topic was possible options for cooperation between Kazstandart and GSO.
The meeting resulted in the signing of an Action Plan for 2021-2022, which includes the creation of contact groups, the exchange of standards and experience in their development, as well as the organization of internships for the exchange of experts.
It is worth noting that the Pavilion of the Republic of Kazakhstan is not only the tourist center of Kazakhstan in the UAE, but also a business platform for signing documents aimed at fruitful cooperation of our country with large international enterprises.
