On the 22nd of March, 2022 festive events dedicated to the celebration of Nauryz were held at the National Pavilion of the Republic of Kazakhstan at the World Exhibition EXPO-2020 Dubai.
As part of the celebration, a series of cultural events was organized for the guests of the Exhibition throughout the day with the participation of artists of ethno-folklore ensembles “Akzhelen” and “Tarlan”, as well as the dance ensembles “Horda” and “Naz”.
In honor of the holiday, a yurt was installed in front of the National Pavilion of the Republic of Kazakhstan, where a theatrical production was presented to the visitors, demonstrating the traditions and rituals of the Kazakh people. In addition, a tasting session of treats of Kazakh and Eastern cuisine was organized for the visitors of the pavilion. The visitors particularly enjoyed Kazakh traditional delicacies like bauyrsaki, zhent and kurt.
It is worth noting that the Pavilion’s festive events were attended by the popular Kazakh singer, Dimash Kudaibergen.
The World Expo 2020 is being held in Dubai between October 1, 2021 and March 31, 2022, and is the first EXPO in the Middle East. The theme of the exhibition is “Connecting minds, creating the future”. According to the Organizational Committee of EXPO 2020 Dubai, 20 million people have visited the exhibition as of March 19.
The National Pavilion of the Republic of Kazakhstan is one of the most visited pavilions of the exhibition. Additionally, according to the Organizational Committee of EXPO-2020, it is included in the Top 10 best pavilions. As of this date, more than 1.4 million visitors have visited the pavilion.
In addition to its popularity as a tourist destination, the pavilion is also attractive as a business destination for many international business-circles. Over the whole period of the Exhibition, approximately 50 business and cultural events were held at the Pavilion. These events included conferences, forums, B2B meetings, as well as projects concerning scientific and educational initiatives and the investment and tourism potential of the country.
