QazExpoCongress National Company has prepared a number of events in honor of the 25th anniversary of the capital on the territory of the EXPO business district.
On July 7, a large-scale book festival called Kitap Fest, cultural and educational event that has gained recognition among book lovers, will be held at the base of the Future Energy Museum.
Purpose of the event is to increase the interest of the younger generation in reading, the development of reading culture, and the creation of a single platform for writers and their readers.
At the festival, more than 30 stores, publishers, and online stores will offer special discounts for the customers. In addition, visitors will be able to exchange their read books at the festival site, allowing them to fill their home library with new books. The youngest visitors will have a free entertainment program as well.
The following events will be held as part of Kitap Fest: the Writers’ Tent, About Books Offline tent, “Kazak Kalamgerleri” tent, seminars and lectures tent, “Okyrman Ulttyn Urpagymyz” exhibition, book fair, free entertainment for children, “Aldar Kose” performance by puppet theater, Read and Exchange a Book with Friend, program from the centralized library system: book presentation, poetry battle and children’s activities.
It is worth noting that the festival will also host “Auylga Kitap” campaign, where anyone may give a book to rural libraries of Kazakhstan.
The event starts at 11.00, entry is free.
After the book festival, residents and guests of the capital will have a concert program, 25 Melodies of the Capital, on EXPO summer stage. Ainur Abdiyeva, Akniyet Altynbek, Aktoty Bolysheva, Raimbek Satybaldy, Tatyana Kim, Nina Moiseeva, Dos, Rinat Maltsagov, “Ne Vse Skazano” band, Live Band Non Stop, DJ Puza and others will perform at the concert.
The concert starts at 20:00, entry is free.
In addition, small stage events are scheduled for the entire holiday weekends. Performances by Martini trio, DJ Young, Gulnur Bayanova and One Piece duo are planned from 18:00 to 20:00.
On July 8, a solo concert of singer and composer Kurmash Makhanov is scheduled on the summer stage, featuring his lyrical hits “Zhan Syrym”, “Ansarym”, “Kezdesu men Koshtasu” and others. DJ Calif, Temirlan & Yernat, Rukhiya Baydukenova and Dos will perform at the concert as well.
On July 9, annual gathering of the brightest cars in the Kazakhstan capital will take place on territory of EXPO business district. An exhibition of more than 150 exclusive cars will be held within the framework of LowKzMeet Astana. The expected number of visitors is more than 10,000 people. The exhibition starts at 17:00.
