International cooperation

On November 6, 2023, a memorandum was signed with Messe Frankfurt Asia Holding Ltd., the world’s largest organizer of exhibitions, congresses, and events, boasting its own exhibition complex in Frankfurt am Main, Germany. Messe Frankfurt hosts over 100 international exhibitions annually and employs approximately 2,500 individuals, including those in its 30 subsidiary offices worldwide. The memorandum aims to establish a partnership and foster long-term, effective cooperation between QazExpoCongress National Company and Messe Frankfurt.

The key areas of collaboration include:

• Facilitating timely mutual exchange of information regarding planned exhibitions and fairs through the mutual sharing of relevant information sources.
• Offering support in establishing mutual contacts.
• Developing mechanisms to enhance interaction in the preparation and organization of joint exhibition, fair, and congress events.
• Providing informational support for exhibition events.
• Supporting the training and professional development of specialists engaged in exhibition, fair, and congress activities.
• Sharing legislative and regulatory frameworks governing exhibition, fair, and congress activities, along with methodological and analytical materials in this domain.
• Offering consultations and assistance in resolving challenges related to the development of exhibition, fair, and congress activities within the respective territories.

On July 10, 2023, the Agreement for the participation of Kazakhstan in the World Exhibition EXPO 2025 Osaka was signed.

The EXPO 2025 Osaka, themed “Designing Future Society for Our Lives,” is scheduled to take place from April 13 to October 13, 2025, in Japan. The venue selected for this event is the artificial island of Yumeshima in Osaka. Kazakhstan’s pavilion will be situated within the thematic cluster titled “Saving Lives.” Anticipated visitor numbers stand at 28.2 million, with participation expected from 150 countries and 25 international organizations.

On September 3, 2021, a memorandum was signed between the QazExpoCongress National Company and the Roscongress Foundation. The memorandum aims to facilitate effective communication between expert communities and business circles in Kazakhstan and Russia.
