On February 23-24th the Kazakhstan Pavilion hosted the Turkistan region Days at EXPO 2020 Dubai organized by the Akimat of the Turkistan region with the support of the Ministry of Culture and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Embassy of Republic of Kazakhstan.
Within the event a round table was held on tourism and investment projects of the Turkistan region. The purpose of the round table is to promote the tourism potential of the Turkistan region in the UAE, as well as to promote the image of the city of Turkistan as the spiritual capital of the Turkic world abroad.
Turkistan Tourism Board, Skyway DMC, Air Astana and Air Arabia companies participated in the round table and discussed a possibility of opening a direct flight from Turkistan city to UAE, as well as presenting a new airport of Turkistan. Moreover, participants of the event were told about tourist products of the region the Mausoleum of Khoja Ahmed Yasawi, the Mausoleum of Arystan Bab, as well as about new tourist objects such as Karavan Saray Complex and “Uly Dala Eli” Exhibition Center. The round table will be attended by business circles of the UAE, government agencies, representatives of the Kazakh and international business community, tourism organizations, associations and investment companies.
On the second day of the event there were B2B meetings with tourist operators and investment companies to discuss the development of tourism potential of the Turkistan region. Visitors to the Pavilion enjoyed an entertainment program with souvenirs distribution. On 20th of February the Pavilion of Kazakhstan at EXPO 2020 Dubai welcomed its millionth visitor, who received a gift certificate to visit Kazakhstan, particularly the Turkistan region.
