In addition, according to preliminary estimates of the Mayor’s Office of the capital, the income from the arrival of more than 5 000 foreign guests during the forum for the hotel, restaurant, transport and other types of business in Astana amounted to 2,6 billion tenge.
Significant agreements were concluded at the Kazakhstan-France and Kazakhstan–Italy business forums held on the eve of the Astana International Forum and on the sidelines of AIF 2025.
At the Kazakh-French business forum, 15 agreements were signed, of which the key one is the construction of a hydrogen production plant in Pavlodar with investments of more than 90 million euros.
At the Kazakh–Italian business forum, 10 agreements totaling 180 million euros were signed, including projects in logistics, mechanical engineering, agricultural processing, industrial digitalization and green energy.
On the sidelines of the AIF, the Investment Committee of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan and Kazak Protein LLP, with the participation of «Tiryaki Agro» (Turkey) and «Hassad Food» (Qatar) and the support of KAZAKH INVEST, signed an investment contract for $320 million to create a deep grain processing complex in Astana. In addition, «KAZAKH INVEST» JSC has signed three agreements with Italian organizations. Among them is the TRAMITE Group’s $180 million project in the Turkestan region, which includes the construction of a greenhouse, a tomato processing plant, alfalfa granulation, and others.
In addition to the financial documents, a number of agreements that are strategically important for the country’s economy were signed on the sidelines of AIF 2025.
The Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) have signed an agreement on financing the Eurasian Competitiveness Program.
The document establishes a partnership aimed at expert support and the development of effective economic reforms. The Eurasian Competitiveness Program will become a catalyst for the implementation of OECD standards, improvement of the legal and institutional environment, as well as increasing the competitiveness of the region.
The Ministry of Digital Development, Innovation and Aerospace Industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan has signed a memorandum with the Solana Foundation and Intebix on the launch of the first blockchain zone in Central Asia on the Solana platform — Solana Economic Zone Kazakhstan.
With the support of the Ministry of Trade and Integration, a General Agreement was signed on the establishment of the first international outlet center in Kazakhstan, which will be built in the Almaty region. The initiator of the project was the QSM group, the partner is the Austrian company Ekazent Management GmbH, one of the leaders of the European commercial real estate market. The area of the future complex will range from 80 to 120 thousand square meters.
