From January 22 to April 10 of this year, the test launch of the World Exhibition EXPO 2020 Dubai began in Dubai. The very first pavilion available for visiting is Terra Sustainable Development Pavilion.
Terra Pavilion is an interactive journey through the wonders of nature that will immerse guests in the exploration of our planet.
Designed by world-renowned Grimshaw Architects, the pavilion is an example of sustainable building design. Built to be net-zero for both energy and water, it features 1,055 photovoltaic panels arranged on a 130-metre-wide roof canopy and atop a series of ‘Energy Trees’. The pavilion also uses advanced strategies for reducing water consumption, recycling water, and alternative energy sources.
Terra Sustainable Development Pavilion, located in Dubai, is open to the public from 03:00 pm to 09:00 pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays and from 04:00 pm to 10:00 pm on Fridays and Saturdays, starting from January 22 to April 10, 2021.
It is worth noting that due to the COVID-19 virus pandemic, the opening date of the World Exhibition EXPO 2020 Dubai was postponed for the period from October 1, 2021 to March 31, 2022.
The National Pavilion of the Republic of Kazakhstan is located in the thematic cluster “Opportunities”, in close proximity to the national pavilion of the United Arab Emirates, the United States, Switzerland, Austria, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, China, Japan, India and the Republic of Belarus.
